Administrative Questions

Is Peripheral Nerve Surgery covered by insurance?

Most likely it may be covered; however, this depends on the type of surgery performed and your Insurance policies. Not all policies have peripheral nerve surgery as an eligible benefit and all insurance policies cover surgery for chronic migraine headaches.

Does Dr. Ducic participates with Care Credit or any other finance programs?

Unfortunately, Dr. Ducic does not participate with finance programs.

Do I have to contact my insurance carrier to submit the pre-certification for surgery?

No, our Pre-certification staff is responsible for your authorization requirements.

How do I find out if I need to make any co-pay or deductible payments prior to my surgical appointment?

When pre-certification is confirmed, the customer representative normally gives this information to our pre-certification specialist. If you do have a copayment, deductible, or a referral to produce, the office will contact you. If you do not have a copayment, deductible or a referral issue you will not be contacted by our office.

If you need to have multiple procedures, primarily nerve related, can I have all of my surgeries done at once?

Usually you can not. Insurance companies usually prefer to fully observe first the effect from one surgery, before approving expenses related to another surgery. Likewise, our clinical management often supports this opinion; therefore, on average we will wait about 3-4 months prior to proceeding with subsequent surgeries. If your surgery is self-pay or cosmetic, then multiple procedures during one operative session are possible, granted clinical criteria are met and you and Dr. Ducic discuss and agree with the plan.

What is your cancellation policy?

Office appointments must be cancelled 48 hours prior to your appointment time. Surgical cases and office procedures must be cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled date. If not, there is a $50 – $150 cancellation fee for office visits, a $250 cancellation fee for office procedures and a $1000 cancellation fee for insured surgical cases. For cosmetic or a self pay cases, there is a cancelation fee equal to 50% of your surgical fee. Please note that all fees must be satisfied before rescheduling your appointment or surgery.
